In 2020, I took over the redesign of the MYDAWA mobile app with the goal of refining its interface and improving user experience. MYDAWA is a leading Kenyan online pharmacy offering health products, medications, and personal care items. I focused on enhancing navigation, usability, and accessibility, ensuring the app was intuitive and user-friendly for users managing prescriptions and ordering health products.

One of the main challenges was addressing the complexity of the user flow, particularly for new users unfamiliar with navigating an online pharmacy. I also had to ensure the design was both visually appealing and functional, given the sensitivity of the health-related products. Simplifying the checkout process and making prescription uploads easier were critical pain points that needed to be tackled.

The redesign improved the app’s usability and user engagement, with increased order completion rates and user retention. User feedback highlighted a smoother, more intuitive experience, particularly in managing prescriptions and browsing products, boosting overall satisfaction and MYDAWA’s position as a top online pharmacy in Kenya.
